I am completely in love with that big dog. I have always liked the big, raw boned dogs over the little lap babies. I had a dog that was half chow and nearly that big with a huge head and I loved him a lot.

It's my favorite dog breed and my nickname is from Lord Byron's dog Boatswain

Besides of being a huge and longhaired dog they also have a very kind and gentle character.

Thanks, Boatswain,I went to newfoundland and there he was!. I don't know what I was thinking, But Keeshund was what I was picturing for a Newfoundland. He's beautiful, A real DOG of a dog, not a tiny mousey little creature.

What is this marvelous great beast"s breed? I've tried to look it up on several dog websites, but it must be one of those old breeds that no longer exsist. It looks a lot like a black great pyrrenes
If I had a lot of land, I'd love to have one.
