Genevieve, Edith and Frances Monear circa 1900

Genevieve (Jones) Monear is in the center of the photo. The other 2 women are her daughters - in front of her is Frances Louperle Monear, and behind her is Edith Mary "Mamie" Monear. Frances is about 14 in this photo, while Mamie is about 18.

The Monears lived in the Minneapolis-St Paul area. Mamie died quite young, in 1936; Frances lived to be 98.

These are my ancestors. They were born in northern Michigan to French-Canadian parents. John Charles and Georgiana eventually had 13 kids, all of whom seem to have made it to adulthood.
